One question. I use my C64 for many purposes: Demos, Games, and Music. It's possible through the UK1541 LCD to choose and play SIDs? It's possible to use without a real monitor?
It could be interesting to take my C64 to my office and play some Vicious SIDs... I mainly use monitors at work, only my portable computer.

UK1541 is not SID emulator so you can not play sid's on it, also not REU emulator etc. If you use real c64 with UK you can choose d64 with sids and play it blind.

I totally agree with you !
In fact, i just want UK1541 for these species in priority :
- LCD screen => Amazinnng !
- On USER PORT => very good idea ! (so you can choose any hardcase cartridge(not emulation)) !
- 100% full 1541-II compatibility => yeah same as 1541 Ultimate 2

Ok one remark if TOP100 from CSDB demos work all this not mean 100% compatibility. I skip some h/w emulation because it is used only i synthetic tests... TBD in far far future.
Also I made some fancy illegal opcodes if they are existing in demos, not all. If I find new one, I will do microcode it in few minutes.
Status is, I am working with blue series users feedback, compatibility for TOP100 looks like 100%, I had to slow down header emulation to reach faster loading time.... paradox

Hmm one question how to conect U with UK if both devices have ONE IEC port? The same story is to connect two Ultimates. You need to run program from C64 in both devices. And next your question... User Port is made not to run Action Replay!!!
If you have an IEC Y-cable, set one unit (1541 Ultimate II for example) to device #9, is there any reason they shouldn't work together? I use a real drive and 1541 Ultimate II now and then with a Y-cable, it has never been a problem.

I may be mistaken here, but I read that as Loki looking for a side by side comparison of capability between the UK and U2, not as a question of them working in conjunction.
