News,
TFT works as you can see,
Remonte control (IR) with I2C and RTC based on MSP430G works as prove of concept. Remote codes NEC standard, I can switch off/on light in my room ;)

In next 3 moths I start small series, this means I will post new thread in General Chat with some additional data for "interested to buy" people.

There are a lot of issues to solve, in example housing, how to buy cheap TFT, edge connector for USER PORT.

I've looked also on C128D case and it will be not possible to put UK1541 because of power cable. UK1541 will be in vertical position to show TFT screen to the user. Of course it will be possible to make special version for C128D but it will be pain in ass for me and for end user (how to see TFT if it's horizontal)

Now I gathering money (MA,GA,TDC for sale) to move some things like pcb, chips etc.
It is only 3 moths left, I would like to finish developing of UK1541 before end of January but **** happens.
Keeps fingers crossed ;)

What about a small extension cable for c128 users? i would actually prefer to use it on a small extension cable on the c64.

C128 users have similar housing like C64C but C128D housing cause issue (power cord). Maybe extension cable will fix the problem but you need to consider that USER PORT has 8-bit parallel port and software can use this port with UK1541. UK1541 can work standalone but you need to provide GND and +5V from C64.

UK is not a short of United Kingdom ;)

Very interesting! How will this compare, to say, the Ultimate? Also, what price range are we looking at?

About 55-65 Euro it really depends on "popularity" I need to set up thread with "I'm interested". I have agreement with Amibay's Admins to do it so in time of final prototype I will do it.

Please check demo Technet 2 / Samar is not working on pure machine with disk drive and I do not know why (VICE also). Maybe someone find a solution.
Technet 1 works with loader from Mr.Fiz but second not.

Thanks for the reply.... What I meant is if this project does real drive emulation :)

Thanks

UK1541 emulates 6502core with illegal opcodes, two VIA's (partly), drive electronics like GCR, PLA. Programs see UK1541 as 1541-II drive.
What UK1541 does not have:
- GCR format .g64 , it is still possible to do it but is very hard coding with timing issue.
- two SIDs, REU, AR emulation etc.

+ burst 8-bit parallel software,
+ or - external and remote control, it not have side effect on big screen during Demo Compo at your home ;)

Thanks a lot - even though I admit your answer is too technical for me =)

Did I understand correctly that this will also include an HDMI connector?

In the EUR 65 price I'm definitely interested in one piece. Miles better than a SD2IEC!
