It's very good that the V2 card will be fit with bigger fpga that support new cores
I will paypal you the difference, I think it's normal to do so.

EDIT : done

@gseb man don't do it I m covering all the loses and I said that I ll do it. Also for the 44 10K LE on the pictures showed here and on my site I have spend money I just don't care. I will use it for something else eventually. It is my loss and it is ok because inside apollo-team designers needs bigger FPGA and that's something I will give it to them.

Update: gseb why did you send it? Now I can't give you money back since I need to wait for a paypal to send me that to my bank account and it will take 30 or so day. After I receive this 30 Eur I will send it back to you. I said that I will cover all the loses and we go happy with new devices :)

Majsta, I'm glad that you & the Apollo team decided to go for the bigger FPGA. The extra €30 is not much in Amiga-world where ppl pay €500 for a Blizzard 1260 ;-) I think everyone who buys it will appreciate the bigger core and some headroom for future fixes. :D
I will order one once I've dug out my dusty A600 and confirmed its still working (the A1200 gets all the love ;-) (Might need recap, new ROMS etc..)
But just wondering, from a manufacturing standpoint: how much more complicated will A1200 & Big box Amiga versions be? Do you currently have an idea about how it might be done? (Im not gonna ask any dates here :-)

@Majsta
Great news on bigger FPGA, no problem my side,, if you need it I will cover the extra €30,,,(Just as long as you promise to design an A1200 Vampire :D )

thanks,

As Gseb, I think it's normal to cover the difference. So I have sent to you 30€ to complete my payment... and you keep this money! :)
If I send this money, it's because I can, but also because I want to support your development. So, don't think one second to send it back.

@majsta For me, it's exactly the same as Tuxbar81, keep it for the v2 or future development or consider it as donation.

Ok tnx ppl for understanding, like I said we had long discussion about this, let me explain how it happened.
I have designed 10K board because at the time we needed about 9300LE so we could fit and also there was a chance to use debugger.
After about 15 days we were at position where we need about 16K LE for the core.
In that period of time also I was struggling to find manufacturer who can produce 10K LE boards since via holes and complete design was too small(regarding FPGA).
Problem is that maybe we can fit into smaller FPGA sizes but there will me moths and months needed for core optimization to fit, practically waste of time.
So at the end we could break all our deadlines. Soon I will show you pictures of the new board. Once more tnx for understanding.

You're welcome majsta,

it is us to thanks you for bringing us innovative hardware... Keep on the good work.

hello and sorry if the question has already been answered and I skipped it.
will this board work in a A1000 ?
does it need to be tested/beta-tested ?
do I have to wait for a future dedicated version ?
I have a A1000 PAL I dream to revive and powerup.

thanks.

@ombre this specific board will not work on A1000, for that version of Amiga I m preparing something else soon, another pre-order for A500/1000/2000 will be announced in few days probably.

I'm ready to send you money for the pre-order for an A1000 version!

Ok this is the first 3D img of redesigned board. All going well. it was difficult to fit 40K LE FPGA on this small board since it is 4 times large than 10K FPGA, but now it's ok. There are few minor things to solve and in few days we will be in production.

Yap it was fast since it was only copy paste job regarding schematics since the same device is used on vampire 500. Only few things to PCB itself needs to be done so few more days.
