I have problems to reach those few ppl left on the pre-order list, so if you know them please tell them to send me PM here. I don't have their mails and they don't reply on my PM. Also one more problem, there are few people who are not on this list but confirmed kickstart license over my mail(pictures, files) or FTP and I don't know what was their paypal payment. Anyway, please PM me with info.

Hey majsta,

I got two PMs from you in the past few weeks to confirm my address and replied each time. Just making sure you received my messages.

Hi Majsta - I also got a PM from you a couple of weeks ago asking for my postal address.

Hopefully you received my reply? Many thanks

Card arrived. Thanks Majsta.

and working ?

Yes, it works perfect :D the speed of the core even inside of a cyclon iii is incredible. OS3.9 latest BB works very well. Saying that, don't forget, it's still in beta stage and even with Gold 1 (new problems occur) the core isn't free of bugs and need further development. Applications which makes use of FPU will crash (inside Gold 1 release unfinished FPU is disabled completely) or do not work and so on. But I didn't test much for now. I'm heavily testing from next week on in my vacation, then I can say more. One thing is clear: Majsta and Gunnar (and whole Team) made the greatest Amiga/68k developement for I think we can say decades now and we all waited for (developers and users), where others only maintain and almost only hold status quo. That doesnt mean its bad, but for me making progress is more important than just maintain. I think this will push Amiga 68k and even more fields in a new aera.

Did anyone else receive an email from Brian (Kipper2k) saying he is producing a new batch of cards and were asked to prepay?

Ok good, I didnt know this is the way it was going to be, prepay before production, I thought when you paid the cards were already produced, well i guess i have to wait a little longer then.

Yes.

I think they announced earlier somewhere that this will be the new procedure. They will take prepayments from n people, order boards from the external manufacturer, ship the boards and then repeat.

I'm in the same batch I think. Payed last week so just waiting for conformation when its sent...

Can I just ask people who already received a recent card...
1. Did it come pre-loaded with the latest core and SAGA drivers?
2. When I first install it in the A600 should I expect video out of the card straight away, or still on the RGB port until flashed SAGA?

Thanks

The 'SAGA' drivers are something you configure on the OS side so it's something you have to download and set up manually.

When i got my Vampire in August, it wasn't loaded with the latest core, it was loaded with the silver 6 core.
Saga Drivers you have to install after you installed the OS and Picasso96 ofcourse,
Before you have installed SAGA you'll have to use good old ECS from the RGB port.

You should see the Apollo splash screen on the HDMI output when you turn it on (if the core is recent enough). This does not require any driver installation.
You still cannot use the HDMI output for ECS/AGA stuff, e.g. most games/WHDLoad. HDMI can only be used with P96 compatible software like WB and programs running in WB, so you should keep the RGB connection if you intend on using it for ECS/AGA stuff.

Ah Ok.. I was under the impression it would display native modes at this revision. no problem anyway lol
I hope they get this feature finished at some point, if its technically possible...

It should be possible to do and it is also planned to be implemented at some point, however it has not been completed yet. They need to implement the AGA chipset in the FPGA, and the question here is whether the FPGA is big enough to hold the SAGA implementation next to the Apollo core or if it will only be possible on later Vampire boards with bigger FPGAs than the 600 version. This is a feature I am looking forward to as well - even more than having an FPU.
