Well. What can I say. I played a few games last night! Geoff Crammond F1 is amazingly. a great card. The little 600 has just become my main Amiga.

Hi Majsta, I recieved the card yesterday.
Snapped in on the CPU flawlessly (don't bother with the white distance bricks yet) and so far it runs like a beast, classic WB 3.1 booted with no prob and FAST.
Will get all needed drivers etc today and test them :)

Btw, love the diddledoo when switching on the A600, just like the A1000. :D

My ClassicWB 3.1 did not play nice with the HDMI screen. Can you let me know if this works for you once you have Picasso and saga installed?
 
The reason F1 still looks so choppy despite the vampire is because by default that game has a "locked" frame rate suited to stock A500s etc.

Luckily there is a hack freely available online to unlock the frame rate and get super smooth racing from the game but if you do the hack without an accelerator of any kind in the amiga the game's controls will crap themselves and the car will spin out all over the place.

It's called F1GP.Ed - do a search for it on google and you shall find!

Will investigate this tonight. Although that is already much smoother than the stock 600 ;)
 
I must write again, with 90's eurodance music I m listening today and soldering I got once more into ecstasy, feeling amazing happiness... After one more V600 ready and tested right now, I know that it will make someone so happy like I m happy now seeing it boot. Thank you apollo-team and thank all of you participating in this amazing project. I m so happy right now. Thank you all :) Next few cards will be on its way tomorrow :) AMIGA RULEZZZZ
 
Great news, that you still enjoy building the Vampires:thumbsup:

Can't wait for the other Amiga Vampire 2 iterations:
  1. Vampire A500/A1000/A2000, :roll:
  2. Vampire A1200,:D
  3. the Vampire 2 standalone :thumbsup:
  4. and last but not least the Vampire A3000/A4000:D
1 is expected very soon, 2 and 3 by the end of year and 4 is later on.

To be honest I'm just looking forward for the moment that I can assemble my A600 & Vampire as I'm recovering from an operation. That moment will be there soon and it shall be sweet.:D

This is good news, as not only will the A600 owners who are waiting get their Vampires faster, but surely also means that production of the V500, will be ready to go as it were.
Just as it will be for the 1200.

It'll allow Majsta and the team to concentrate more on development, and Kipper2k to return to normal pre vampire days. Where he wasn't as swamped with demand, and can deal with his other products as well.
