Nothing works :( I hope the seller gives a refund. I would not even mind getting a replacement. I want a rev6.

@Madowax686 I actually ordered a 35.468 MHZ a few days earlier (not here yet) and see how this will go with the Rev5, 70Mhz would be fine I guess.

But I never had a rev6 so I hope it will turn out good somehow.

If you paid via PayPal goods and services and the seller does not play nice, there's always the option to open a dispute to return the 060 and mention you would be willing to accept a replacement.

The seller asked what the return shipping would cost. But with Canada post the shipping price to China is a third of the CPU price. Lets see what he says.

interesting journey. So I got the 35.468 MHZ crystal and the REV5 dosnt like it. 66MHZ it is for that one I guess.

In regards to the Rev6 the seller is willed to refund but wants me to ship back the one I got. That would be a 80CAD bill on me. Since I am one of the good guys I am willed to do so but communication is terrible. Like a message a day. We might have it sorted out in 3 month.

Lets see where the road goes.

That's interesting. Have you ever tested your warp engine with a 40 MHz 68040?
Are you sure your ram modules work over 33Mhz with your WE?

yes and even overclocked to 44mhz at the time.

Ok, so you can rest assured that everything else on your WE works up to a 44mhz CPU crystal, your problem could be the 060 CPU you are trying to overclock or the 68060 adapter not supplying enough juice to that 68060 to overclock to ~70 MHz range. When overclocked the 060 draws more and more power the higher you go with CPU clock, sometimes adapters could not supply those needs, especially with revision 5 or lower, in that case the faster way to achieve results is probably to get that rev 6. This is of course my personal opinion about WE and 060 OC there are for sure better and more competent opinions out there. I hope you will manage to get that rev 6 replacement.

well the cpu doesnt seem to work at all. Yellow screen :(
Saw this post a bit late, and it is unclear what your configuration is, but there is an incompatibility with OS3.1 on a Warp Engine with any 68060 that has an FPU. Is your Rev 5 an EC or LC version? If so, that is why it works.
In order to get a full 060 with FPU to work on a Warp Engine, you need to either install a hacked 3.1 Kickstart ROM, or install a later version Kickstart ROM like 3.2

My rev5 is a full cpu and its a 3.2.x rom I am using. ps. I got a refund for the cpu which is great.
