Sorted by comraider was ip6 issue

just noticed ( im on my phone so dunno if diff on desktop ) there are no visible member locations

example looking at a thread pentium 100 pc and no idea where the item is located making me look up the members profile. It should say as in vb4. As an example usa / New York or turkey / istanbul etc

This is a layout issue, depending on the width of the browser, some fields start getting removed from the display to make everything fit. It will look just fine on desktop:

You can click on the username and see their location in the popup without having to navigate away to their profile. I'm looking at ways to try and make it fit without looking too cramped.

I am glad registrations are open again, i have been visiting for a few months but it was always being upgraded.

Are you guys using Cloudflare? if not i would def suggest it (even free tier - it's an amazing cdn and stops lots of bots too) ( owned a webhosting company since 2007) and also suggest Cloudlinux , that should help if you ever get issues again.

Always here for advice if you need any :)

Great board though - it's good to see the Amiga still alive and even new stuff coming out for it.

Not for now--we might go for Cloudflare depending on how things go. So far we're doing okay with the firewalls we have set up and caching for performance.

The board will be 15 years old this December, we never thought it would make it this far. Amibench died after 10 years, so we've lasted a lot longer than the site that inspired us.

I don't like this setting:

Please wait 1 hour(s) before submitting new feedback for this user.

This is a setting within the feedback addon
Time limit (in hours) to prevent users to submit feedback for the same person. (1 hour)

Had you done any other feedback in the previous hour to the above happening?

Yes, I did. Bought two items from the same seller and would like to give two feedbacks for two different transactions. Don't know why there should be any time limit.

It's part of the settings for the Feedback system to try and stop duplicate errors in feedback.

It may be something you have to put up with but I'll check if we can alter the setting.

Of course it's not some deal breaker, but I don't see a reason for it. Why make things complicated ;)

Maybe put limit of a few minutes. On the previous-previous version a forum it worked fine with a limit of 1 minute - if I remember correctly.

The lowest limit we could set is one hour.

We've turned the delay off for now so any duplicate feedbacks will need reporting for us to sort out.

OK. In case this makes you more trouble, just put the limit back. The few of us leaving more feedback at once will adjust ;)

It's ok. We'll give it a try and see how things go.

If we get lots of problems we can always turn it back on besides there are other checks that should stop duplicates happening.

New user and this is the first thread I've combed through front to back.

I would personally like to thank the AmiBay team (past and present) for donating their personal finances, time and effort to create/maintain a place on the internet for retro enthusiast. Reading the thread showed that a lot of difficult decisions had to be made to keep the forum alive after already existing for 15 years.

As new member, all I can say is that I hope staff will continue to work constructively together in the years ahead.

Amibay website right now have got Better :) and now got Interest Queue knowing who in the queue on what they are declaring for.
