I also still use AS5,but I am in the the process of changing or modifying heatsink with copper shim,now I can feel more heat from alloy heatsink. Bus speed has gone up along with overall performance with 24Hr+ test runs. Not a single crash yet. NOTE: AS5 needs time to work at its best.

May need to check other types of cards to see if voltage maybe the problem. Latest 060 mask may help. Hmm Overclocking, probably not worth it on a A500.

Could try turning some of the option(s) on/off in the blizzard card menu on a A1200 then re-test on A500.

Only Clickboom version support 16 bit mode for extra colours. Every other version does not support 16 bit. Why?

It was already showing 119GB before it was even set-up not even formatted. After setting it up and formatting it still showed 119GB of storage space. Pre-formatted already I assume. Will do some more testing in PCMCIA slot,so far not a single problem.

Tested sandisk 128GB compact flash via FastATA & PCMCIA slot. Formatted in both slots and seems to work ok,but total available shows 119GB, ie 119GB of data,but should it not be showing 128GB total in the advance menu where you can see firmware? OS4.1

Can you show screenshot with benchmark? If this is true then I am amazed (native IDE speed).

I am not going to read all though this thread but I did suggest on another amiga site that perhaps FastATA maybe can be improved by using 1Mb roms.
