If it's an issue with the CIA's then you will most likely have to take it back to whomever did the build for you.

Yep - tried that. Think it might have to go back to them....which is going to be a trust issue i think...i got it done back at the start of the year....its been sat on my desk right up til now as i source parts. Hopefully they'll repair it, if, it needs repairing...! ive not even used it yet...not even seen a rom screen appear!

Out of interest do you have a accelerator card just to rule out the onboard 030?

yeah you may have to change it from Int to Ext let me check

From The Cyberstorm MK3/PPC manual

Before the carrier board is inserted, the two clock jumpers marked on the main board under the CPU-board with "INT" or "I" and "EXT" or "E", (see Figure 3), have to be put in their proper position. For the operation of the CYBERSTORM PPC they have to be placed in position "EXT" or "E". Depending on whether you are using an AMIGA 4000/030 or AMIGA 4000/040, these jumpers by default are set to on position "EXT" or position "INT". Please take note that the operation of the CYBERSTORM PPC is not possible if the jumpers are set to position "INT", and the computer will not boot in such a wrong position.

The only issue is do you know if the Cyberstorm is functional? because a black screen can be CPU related I believe

The two jumpers are the two that need to be changed to EXT for the cyberstorm can you take pictures of the cyberstorm too please.

Ok - not sure how this worked...well, bit of a cowboy moment....i was going to package it up to return back. I de-soldered the cable that needed to be on to give sync to the svga - to scart. While it was powered up i jumped the cable over and got the rom screen...but the cable isnt connected...too scared to power it off now!!

Powered off and back on again...back to a grey screen...suspect its going to be someting sync related from the svga to scart out put....im kinda thinking it might be best to wait for the zz to turn up?

OK cool it does take a while for the rom screen to come up if there is no floppy and hard drive connected

Yep - looks like it takes about a minute.....ill add the memory next and see what happens....if the accelerator works theres a scsi connector on the so i can hook up the cd drive...

Does the accelerator look ok from a jumper point of view?...as i say it came off of the old a4000 working...
