With the Cyperstorm PPC ensure the fan is running, The PPC side are prone to overheating and then killing themselves

It may still take time for the amiga to boot if there is no Floppy and ide drive connected even with the scsi drive, that why you see people buy the Floppy and IDE Terminators so the amiga boots quicker

OK looks like you are getting somewhere then

yep - fan is spinning up on the ppc....little noisy but i can sort that out later (got a Noctura for that) - just a darker grey screen at the moment...edit - while still a dark grey screen i can feel the 060 warming up...

Nothing yet...Might need to get it tested....and or maybe repaired if it needs it..that being said im not sure that can be done now?

Oh well back to the 030 for now

Defo worth asking in "Services" part of the forum to see if anyone can look at the Cyberstorm for you Like @stachu100 or @hese

Definately....not sure how i can currently get and os running with what ive got here....ive got a compact flash in the ide port a scsi cd drive but no controller, one of the new sqruirrel scsi adaptors and a go tek....oh - and thanks very much, thanks for chipping in along with everyone else that has...almost there...its sitting on the side at the moment but, i think i can get it back i the case now...

Well if you want to bring it all to Portsmouth I can help you set it up

Do you have a CF adaptor for your PC and set it up on WinUAE?

Be a nice day out....no time at the moment though....! but thanks for the offer...ill get it all back in the case a sec...could i use the squirrel to transfer the amiga os cd to an iso maybe...?

I have not really done much with SCSI CD Roms I have always used the IDE ones

so someone else will need to answer that question.

i might go and find one and plug it in externally if i need one...ive got a case that doesnt have any drive bays...and i must confess i was hoping to run the lot of flash memory and if i did have a cd just use the squirrel to image said cd's off...

Well to be honest once a CF is setup and you have transferred what you want onto it a CD drive isn't really needed I have one because I have alot of original Amiga CD

you still need drivers and an OS to get the IDE CD-ROMs to work I believe this is also the case for SCSI CD-ROM drives

Just got the motherboard back in the case....the only ide cable ive got is one of those ones with the pin half way down blanked off...!

Just went and grabbed the external gotek....its got a db23 plug.? (ive only got 2x 25's on the rear)?

Totally unrelated observation...the amiga boot rom floppy just flashes now? (didnt it used to animate and insert into the drive?)

Oh - on the tx motherboard - can i just clip pin10? (the one thats blanked out) on the cable??

Little bit further - got the gotek hooked up (not sure if it actually works yet but, the display is lit. (Used an internal floppy cable) just to get it running....question...is there an adf file of os 3.5...ive bought it but, its on a cd....and at the moment i cant seem to cable up both the dvd rom and, the flash card...

I don't believe so 3.5 and 3.9 I believe are CD only

but you have 3.2 roms which is you may not know is a newer OS

Yeah - i must confess im getting a bit lost with the whole os version numbers...so i bought "the new one" back towards the start of the year the box says 3.2 on it...i have just found out that i can stick the disc in my pc so ive read all the files off and in turn stuck all the adf files on the root of a usb stick....boot screen is up ive found an old 9 pin amiga mouse so hooked that up...no idea on keyboard yet...not got that far...i can cycle through all of the files on but not boot them...that being said after all this im probably clogging up this thread...better to start a new one?

Hi everyone,
I'm finished with my Amiga A4000TX. Here are some photos to illustrate my work.

Two "imperfections" remain:
1- The TF4060 card doesn't like PIO2 mode, so I downgraded it to PIO0.
2- With a 2.5" hard drive on the TF4060 controller, Sysinfo crashes during the HD speed test!

The Fractal case fits well! But you have to trim the base as shown in photo #1.
The CD-ROM is a notebook model mounted on a DElock cradle, which also allows the 2.5" HD drive to be installed.
I'm delighted with the result.

Back again. Opened another thread but thought id ask on here....ive got a CF card plugged directly into the IDE port....os32 install/HD Tools cant seem to see the CF card. Also tried an old Seagate IDE drive which also cant be seen. Wondered if there was a jumper that might need setting.
