Need to ask, I am installing Kipper2k's CF+IDE+8MB RAM board, will your kit get in the way?

The 8Mb+IDE board comes over the kickstart socket.
It's not possible without and adaptator to place it away (ribbon wire). So, actually, it's impossible.

Any luck seeing if it fits in the amiga 600?

Here also, the only way is to put away the kickstart switcher and connect it onto the motherboard with a ribbon wire.
It's possible to do and adapter, but a lot of interests will be necessary to limit the fabrication's cost.

I second Scoobyatgb for the ribbon cable... switching between 1.3 and 3.1 ROMs is useless if we don't have IDE and more than 1MB RAM, no?

To put away the adapter, we need a ribbon wire. The problem is its price.
An another possibility is to use an IDE ribbon which could be connected between the Kickstart switcher and the socket adapter.

The picture below shows how could looks the socket adapter.

The aim of this little PCB is to allow to put the K-Switcher away from the Rom socket of the Amiga motherboard. It's always a 2 Roms switcher.

It' a useful solution for A600 and also for an A500 (or 2000) which are equiped with some other expansions (accelerator board, memory, etc).

Normaly, this version of Kickstart Switcher should also work fine with the GBA1000.

The ribbon adapter/extender sounds like a very practical idea, I would take 2 to go with the boards I stated interest in; as they would give extra adaptability should I find I need them
