Can anybody lend me something SCSI?

I can lend you an external SCSI cd drive if you want?

I am after an Amiga compatible SCSI device simply to test this item:

I have never had a SCSI device, so I am not even sure how to connector such a thing with respect to terminators etc. Can anybody help?
Only time you need to terminate is if you got any SCSI female / male sockets spare after connecting it to your Amiga.
The main thing you may be spending time of is the Storage drivers and assigning the correct SCSI.device info.

@JA

No problems. It's here if you need it.

If the worst comes to the worst - Postman Pat will have to deliver it :D

The scsi bus always has to be terminated.
Devices that don't have pass thru must have internal termination.

Even on PC's you have to watch out for this, on older cards you had to manually turn off the card termination if you had internal and external devices attached. (Its no good have termination in the middle of the scsi chain)

I picked up a sad looking squirrel myself last year (not as bad off as yours). I asked a old mac friend if he had any cdroms or hard drives laying around. He did.

amigakit also has the 50pin centronics to 50 pin idc adapter if you find a internal scsi cdrom.

I have a 4gb SCSI hard drive if you want test formatting and read/write, I'm not using it right now so you can play around with it for a bit if you want :)

Hi,

Where just outside London?

I work in Bromley, live in Sevenoaks. I've got an external SCSI CDROM...

Steve.
