I did look a while ago, but only found donor carts available. Wikipedia lists carts available with DSP1 chips. I bought one of those.
It doubled as a donor case, and chip. :)

Yup was thinking the same. Just was curious as to whether anyone actually had the chips themselves. Seems unusual that nobody has them when Everdrives themselves are insanely popular in the homebrew and retro scene.

Whats the best way to get the chip off a donor cart with no hot air station?

With no hot air? It would be using a solder sucker and braid, and it will take a while.
I maybe able to help out there, depending on how much time I have on my hands and how many people want chips.

Hmm, yeah I see theyre through holes :)

Seems like an awful lot of effort considering the only 2 desirable english games that need it are PilotWings and Mario Kart. Might just be cheaper to buy those 2 carts as well and not butcher retro hardware to be honest.

There is that, but like I said, I bought the cartridge because I wanted the case primarily. I could have hung around waiting for a dead cart to materialize, but that was impractical. So I bought one that also contained the upgrade I wanted.

hopefully he'll count the N64 and the N64+cic as one group that way we're only 3 away from target:)
I'll change mine to one with a CIC if that helps? I've got loads of donor cartridges with CIC chips which gave up their shells for the last batch of ED64's.

Hey alex, sure, I'll amend that now. All the N64s wil then be +CIC so will be a bit easier come order time.

*Nods...

I'd be happy using my Everdrive without the upgrade to be honest. 90% of the SNES library will run fine anyway.

Anything else, carts should be cheap enough for anyways. There are only the SuperFX games and perhaps 3 others that I know of that wont run on a standard SNES Everdrive that are PAL.

Think I'll pencil myself in for a Super aswell :D

Hi AmiNeo,
Would you mind putting me down for two MD Everdrives please?

Thanks for organising this group buy, very much appreciated!

Seems to be slowing down a bit now :)

Once again guys, as we approach the cut off date for orders, please check that I have your order recorded correctly on the first page. If there are any errors, please don't hesitate to PM me. I want you guys to have as pleasant a trading experience as possible on this

I will take the following...

1x MD
1x GG
1X N64+CIC

Do we need 10 SNES orders to get the discount or do we get it as there will be a production for multiple units on this run i.e. MD, GG, N64 grand total 10+?

Put me down for:

SNES (Super Everdrive - No DSP)
MD (MegaKey equipped)
N64 (ED64V2 + CIC)

Ta!
