Works great, as a test, even decided to recycle an old scavenged eeprom 29EE010 and burn the 27C512 bin to that. Needed the track cut & bridge mod but worked just fine!
Great news! I was told by another member that the cut and bridge mod only needed to be done when using xxC020 EEPROMs but not when using UV EPROMs. I hope you really enjoy the kit.
Managed to find some time for assembling this kit. Was quite straightforward and seems to work as it should.
I only have a few minor comments, in case a new batch is made in the future: The orientation of the LED is not clear on the PCB, and when the IC sockets are in, it is hard to see the silk screen with the IC names to figure out which IC goes where.
I'm glad you were able to get everything assembled. There most likely won't be a PCB run but I knew about the polarity of the LED not being on the PCB. The assembly directions show the correct orientation and where all the chips go on the PCB. I can see why it would be good to make the IC silkscreen visible after the sockets are installed.
Thank you for letting me know! I've updated the first post with shipping statuses. Everything has been shipped and I'm only waiting on six packages to be delivered.
Wow! I really like it. I think the label really pops on the black shell.
I've been using the holiday to assemble lots of different kits that I've purchased over the past few months. I hope to finish all of those tomorrow and package some of the Round 2 FCIII+ kits for shipping.
