Hardware Identification

.....I sent it as a gift...

Ah, that's unfortunate. But at least the feedback will be representative.

Yeah :) TBH, Im glad I got the biggest chunk back. I was considering dumping eBay over the weekend but its just a shame that there isnt a competing site that offers as many punters. I ended up listing stuff to sell! LOL Anyway, Im much happier now, I hope she just quits eBay and Paypal and crawls back under the rock she came from.

There is eBid but they don't get nowhere near the customers that ebay does and i don't think i've ever seen any amiga hardware. There is usually games though

Yeah I saw that site, I might have glance over it more often when Im doing my rounds on the tinternet :)

TBH, since I joined Amibay all my Amiga stuff has gone on here first before listing it on eBay, Im a big believer in selling or giving the Amiga stuff to people who will use it, not museum collectors or (bloody) traders. I dont mind hoarders (I had 15 Amigas at one point last year, all bought in the space of less than 6 months! :whistle: ) but traders and collectors can walker away, to put it politely ;)

@tajmaster

if you paid pay-pal using a "credit card" (NOT a debit card) you can contact your credit card and ask them for help.

They are likely to reverse the charge.

@tajmaster & zetr0

you can, but keep in mind it can make trouble for your pay pal account. PayPal can be ticked off, even though they have no grounds for it. But they do a lof of that kind of stuff.

Im happy to just leave it at that now but thanks for the suggestions :) I got 73 out of the 90 quid I sent her back and all you guys here and anyone who sees her feedback will now know shes dodgy too :)

Phone credit card company. Report item not as described. Receive money. Spend it on curry in a couple of weeks time :D

You have up to 180 days to do this according to visa/mastercard rules.

*ALWAYS* use a credit card. *NEVER* use a debit card, or direct debit with paypal.

Very good, sound advice. I'll second this too. Credit cards are the only way to shop online, whether with Paypal or anyone else for that matter.
