Hi! I must admit that I found this forum while searching for a specific game for sale (a copy of James Clavell's Shogun, to finish my Infocom collection), so I have some immediate selfish interests in joining.
On the other hand, I hope to hang around and find more interesting stuff on here. It looks like a great place!
In terms of retro computing, earlier this year I acquired a TI-99/4A and an Amiga 500. I actually did not have either of these when they were contemporary (I came up through a number of oddball machines, then went Vic 20 -> Apple ][+ -> PC), but my girlfriend had both and has a lot of nostalgia for them. I've put most of my energy into getting the TI-99/4A up and running and collecting the game cartridges she remembers from her childhood, but I'm looking forward to tackling the Amiga 500 for my own uses, possibly to use it as a tool in my music studio. (I'm an IT Manager by day, but a hobbyist musician by night.)
I'm also very interested in retro gaming, and have, as mentioned above, a nearly complete set of "grey box" Infocom interactive fiction with all the feelies and extras. While I had the Masterpieces collection, I decided to begin collecting the originals because playing them with PDFs and photos of the stuff they came with just isn't the same.
I'm not sure what else is relevant, but... hi, everyone!
