Hey guys I've now had some success
I've got a working 640x480 display so now I can start to set up others.
Thanks again for everyones help and lots of kudos to Kin Hell for not loosing paitence with me!
Turns out that Picasso or the Mediator does not like some feature in Classic WB ADV SP. I installed WB3.1 then OS3.9 and I've got it working there ok
I'm uploading some pics and will post them on my Tower project post in the Photo Booth

In all honesty m8, anything other than a standard Install of an Amiga OS is a bastardisation in my book. Classic Workbench is rather clever getting the likes of Dopus to run on a 68000 CPU. That program alone requires at least an 020 to run.
These clever work-arounds are not always condusive to a stable & fully functional Amiga in the manner it was meant to be. Especially when you throw Elbox into the equation. They went outsoide the envelope with RE: to DMA. - Also, I'm not saying that you can't run Classic Workbench on a Mediator rig, but unless you have the core files in place for a stable setup, you could end up flogging a dead horse to get there. In your case here, it appears that way. :|
All the same, I'm glad you have had success with this project & it has been a pleasure helping you as best I could. A shame we're not neigbours as I could probably have set it up for you in a couple of hours. Even remote assistance in this manner has it's downfall's.
Now that it's working, back it all up & try Classic Workbench again. It may be okay for you, but be sure to use the right version for your hardware config.

It's not the point I was trying to make rkauer, but thanks for the correction. Besides that, Dopus isn't fully functional is it. Dopus has a standard button to Extract. All you have to do is put Lha in your C: directory & it's good to go.

That button is redundant.
All you need to do is clicking on the archive and click on the other window to extract. Or double click to see what's inside.
That button is only useful to extract a lot of archived files in a drawer in one click.
Just a quick question Guru's, I tried to setup CWB OS3.9 yesterday on my 2.5in HDD (Until I've been testing with CF-IDE)
I couldn't get it to boot up from the real HDD at all through the FastATA MkIII, I was using a pretty long cable, do you think the HDD was not getting enough power? It span up then appeared to stop...
Going to have a test with CWB on the CF tonight, see how I get on

Not yet as I need to boot into workbench to install it. I didn't have a problem with the CF, I booted into workbench then installed the FastATA software.
I'm going to copy CWB OS3.9 to the CF tonight and see if I can get it to boot that way
I think I'm going to get a nice 8gb or 16gb CF instead of the HDD.

I've tried CWB OS3.9 on the CF now, somthing about the FastATA does not like it at all. I just get a black screen and no boot and if I try to boot from floppy like Install3.1 with the CWB OS3.9 Drive attached I get a yellow flashing screen.
I tried installing the FastATA driver to the CF card under WinUAE emulation but still does not work.
Strange eh?
Well I guess I'll have to customise OS3.9 myself

When I swapped to the HDD I must have upset the FastATA becuase even after I reconnected my CF the damn thing still wouldn't boot!
Had to take it apart bit by bit right down to the bare board before it would even give a KS screen, but once I removed and carefully refitted the FastATA all was fine, I was then able to boot CWB OS3.9 and install the FastATA and Mediator/Picasso Drivers.
Pleased to report, all working fine although much slower than the stock OS3.9, hmmm. Must need some 68040 Libs or something

Next job is to fit the sound card and set that up. Already setup Internet access via Miami and the Netgear
Much nicer in RTG
Oh and some bonus good news, CF-IDE Backplane is working fine as Secondary-Master, obviosly not hot swappable but still nice for transferring files via WinUAE...

Just a DMX Sound Card, must be compatible as thats the one that was in the Tower I picked up, looks a like a serious bit of kit. I don't think this guy messed about with low end kit, going by the Voodoo 5500 lol.
