Did you ever see the desert dream demo they remade on c64 from the kefrens original?
It was incredible
The name doesn't ring any bells.
I don't have a C64 set-up at the moment, so I won't be able to watch it on a machine.
I don't suppose you have a YouTube link you could share of it, do you?
PS. Can't agree more about the sound-chips. The SID was the first computer music I can recall, and the Amiga + Octamed really helped to develop my interest in music.
PPS. My all-time fave. YouTube Link: Dynamix - Jeroen Tel
PPPS. There's a thread or two on here where people have contributed to a list of their favourite computer music. I think they're well worth hunting for.![]()
Absolutley got a link for that
and for the original Amiga version by Kefrens for comparison sake if your interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV2353kXHac
If I had to pick my favourite demo of all time it would have to be this one, used to watch it over and over on the Amiga and was stunned when they made it for c64, amazing music too imho
Will have a look at the link you posted to the demo, thanks for sharing that
And will definitely have a snoop round for the music threads you mentioned
Thanks loads!
