Did you ever see the desert dream demo they remade on c64 from the kefrens original?

It was incredible

The name doesn't ring any bells.

I don't have a C64 set-up at the moment, so I won't be able to watch it on a machine.

I don't suppose you have a YouTube link you could share of it, do you?

PS. Can't agree more about the sound-chips. The SID was the first computer music I can recall, and the Amiga + Octamed really helped to develop my interest in music.

If I had to pick my favourite demo of all time it would have to be this one, used to watch it over and over on the Amiga and was stunned when they made it for c64, amazing music too imho

Hi,

Unfortunately I can't find the light gun or one of the Tool Box tapes. Everything else is there but obviously not complete. What is there works and this was my own main machine for the last couple of years, I just need to shed some of the larger boxed stuff I have here in the interests of fitting more in and I do have a number of 64's so makes sense to part with this one.

If you are interested despite the missing gun then let me know and I will photo it all set up and working for you. The guns do come up with reasonable regularity so I'm sure it won't be to hard to find one to complete the set.

Fairly new here myself but it feels like a good crowd and I'm sure you'll be made very welcome and have lots of good trades and banter.

Very much still a tape loader myself as I have so much original software but I'm slowly being tempted over to SD way of thinking

I have a light fantastic pack here only I need to check and see if I still have the gun. If so I could probably sell this as I'm erring towards unboxed systems (or at least stuff in smaller packaging) due to a severe lack of space and an ever expanding collection of systems. I'll have a look in the morning and if you're interested I'll sort some photos and a price.

Thanks And thanks for the heads up, I wasn't aware about the disk drive replacements, so will definatley look into those when I manage to pick me up a c64

I remember I was solely a c64 tape man for many years until I picked up a second bread bin c64 which came with a 1541 drive and a stack of disks, still remember loading up the disk version of Tom and Jerry that came free and was blow away by the speed difference (Still got a soft spot for the old datasette and tapes tho hehe)

Very pleased to hear the light fantastic packs still are coming up occasionally!

Didn't know if you had noticed above but Merlin has very kindly offered me a original defender light gun as was originally in the light fantastic pack
