Glad you like it. :)
I shall put your name down for Batch 3. if we get enough interest again, I'll get onto Todd about some more amps.
I don't have an IFU-30 I'm afraid so I'm not even sure what it's native out put is, I'm guessing composite? It should be entirely possible to use one of Todd's amps to create an RGB output for it though.

Yes, the standard output of an IFU-30 is composite, I have seen RGB mods where a din is fitted to the rear but it doesn't look discreet enough, mine is mint, hence I'd like it to be done as sympathetically as possible.

I'm in no rush to have mine RGB'd now because I've just impulsively bought a duo-r from Doujindance (I blame this thread;).

Let me know if you want a deposit for the additional cable.

The volume output is low from mine too, I connected my coregrafx up with the composite cable simultaneously with the RGB scart just to do some comparisons but the audio is a similar level.

The RGB amp board doesn't touch the audio lines so a separate mod would need to be added to the cable. Not sure how though.
It's possible for r0jaws to add female phono connectors (L+R) on the cable, which could then be used with an amp but that's already possible with most TV's anyway.

Regarding IFU-30 I personally think it's better to utilise the RGB amp board from the cable and mod the PC Engine internally, removing the RF modulator and replacing with a 9-pin mini DIN and wiring up to the Sega Mega Drive 2 pin-out. Then you can use the rest of the scart cable with a mini DIN plug on the other end and wire up two RCA inputs to the audio lines. That way you'll have the RGB amped, and audio from the IFU-30 via the RCA and you can still use the cable on the PC Engine without the IFU-30. This is exactly why I asked r0jaws not to permaseal the RGB amp board inside the box as I plan to do this very mod in the future.

Another option for the RGB amp cable I just thought of is having a 3.5" line-out socket built into the box. Then you could either use a cable to connect to an external amp, or a small headphone amp to use with headphones etc. Wouldn't be too hard to fit.

(this is going off-topic so apologies)

Audio amplification? That could be possible, let me have a look.

I've not heard anything back from danatureboy, so I've sent him another PM.

Hi Phil,

Just wanted to say a great big thanks for the cable, arrived very quickly and makes my TurboGrafx look better than when it left the factory!

Thank you :)

My Supergrafx says a big thank you !
The result is beyond expectations.
I may consider uploading "before/after" screenshots if people are interested.
Though the difference smacks you in the face when you look at it in person, i'm not sure about the result with a digital camera.
There's only one way to know anyway...

It does look amazing on my Sony Trinitron using my Core Grafx. Couldn't get it working on my PC Engine LT - doesn't seem to boot up properly with the cable in so might be a power issue. I've got another power socket on the right of the LT when using the CD attachment so might try it with 2 PSUs plugged I'm one day :)

It's possible it could be a power issue, the amp draws from the 5v line. What does it look like when you do try it?

Sorry for the delay. There was nothing on the main TV, the screen of the PC-Engine just had some wiggly lines on it and I think I am right in saying the Turbo Everdrive was blinking orange, but I'll confirm tomorrow when I set it up again

Thanks to Nicolahu, I got my RGB cable yesterday. Works great, but I also use a LT for most of my Obeying needs, but power it with a LEGO 10V Adapter and have similar problems:

The screen on the LT goes all wonky, which happens when the voltage drops to somewhere under 7V.

@sir_beaker: Try it with a standard HuCard (Maybe the Everdrive draws too much voltage) or with the LT closed / Screen turned off.

Thanks for the tip. TBH I had not even remembered the LT, but it looks as if the PSU does not have enough power for the screen as well as the Amp, I'm not sure what the power requirements of the ED are I'm afraid.

Emuola has declared interest in one of these in my old thread HERE, I'll update the first post.
Seeing as we have close to 15 orders now, I'll speak to Todd, and then start sending out PM's/ emails requesting a deposit.

Still haven't heard from danatureboy, has anyone been in touch with him?

Ok Guys, I have contacted Todd and asked him to put aside some Amps for us. He estimates that they will be ready by the end of November. With that in mind, I have sent everyone who is interested so far a message outlining the details and asking for a deposit so that I can start buying the materials and pay for the amps. If you haven't heard from me, please get in touch.

A PSU with a higher amperage would probably help. if the RGB amp draws power and the Everdrive does too then you'll probably be better with a 2A PSU, something like this: http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/maplin-20...fixed-voltage-9v-worldwide-power-supply-l46bl

2.25A would probably be more than enough for that sort of setup. I'm picking one up myself as it'll come in handy when I get a CDROM2 unit and install the RGB amp internally.

I've been working on an audio amp to go inside and have found that power is indeed an issue. I'm going to dig out a beefier PSU and give it a go myself.
