Problem with CSPPC

Hi all!

Since a couple of days I am running into problems with my CSPPC.

No PPC programs seem to work anymore. Even pictures do not load using WarpDT.

I tried the PPC Test Disk. This disks says that Pup und Wos are working fine.

I do however think that the PPC died on that card. Is there anyone able to do reballing / checking the card?

I remember from a1k.org that Stachu used to do recalling. Is he still active?

Yep Stachu100 is still around. I had attempted to send him some BPPC boards a couple of years back. Unfortunately Polish Customs implemented a Tax where items get sent to a company address it incurs a fee. He only uses a company address he works at. Therefore my BPPC boards got hung up at Polish customs before coming back to me

I’m in a similar situation where I have appeared to have Borked my CSPPC by trying to overclock the 060. Have contacted Hesse on PM. Still waiting on a reply. To be fair, the guy appears to be busy. So happy to wait…

Not sure how confident you are with a soldering iron. But have you identified the Oscillator the PPC runs off? It maybe as simple as that has failed.

I would not send something to Amiga Center. They "lost" a CSPPC + A4K mobo for a friend of mine.

Wow! I guess they have fallen of then. I had my CyberStorm PPC in for repair (I think was 10 years ago), and they where fast (14 days to repair and return it). It still works to this day.

I would check with the known active users as mentioned before (Stachu and Hese) and see wh ever ha time to look at it. Both does high quality work and are very professional.
