Declaring interest in this nice tester, I don't think I need the adapter board as I only need to test C64 and Amiga chips, if so please let me know.
Shipping to the Netherlands

(Marked as sold/completed by tops4u)
Item received after a delay at the Dutch customs.
Put everything togheter and already fixed 2 of my 4 broken C64's.
Will work on the next one coming weekend.

Awesome tester. I highly recommend it.

Crazy November Deal

I sell the last two V2.1 Units with 25% Discount during November 2025.

So First Come - First Served - for the RAM Tester KIT. ==> 17.25 CHF + Shipping. => Reserved

Now, Version 3 is available for shipping (currently 5 units remaining).
Version 3 moves the display entirely within the PCB boundaries and features a new reset button with a soft silicone cover, located right next to the DIP switches. A small batch of Version 3 units was produced, all but five of which have already been sold directly. The price for the remaining units is CHF 25 each.

I decided to premount the Display, since it seemed the safest option to ship it - still it needs to be soldered.

Currently trying to implement Support for:

4816/4516 Type RAM. Both are 16Pin 16K x 1 so similar like 4116 but running on 5V only. For 4516 there will be most probably no dedicated checks for the Refresh line, since this is a bit an alien behaviour. Stupid me, that one was already in 3.x.x Firmware.

4027 which is 4K x 1 for the 4116Adapter since it requires -5V and 12V to operate.

If ATEMGA 328 Flash-Space allows it, I'll be posting a new Firmware revision.

This Project has now been covered on Hackaday 🥳🎉

And the current version includes some more protection on the USB Side, so less ESD and EMI should happen. Also some overvoltage protection was included. Price is still the same.

I'm not yet ready to release the 3.1 Firmware, since I was not yet able to test the 4027 RAM as it is still in transit to me ... hopefully somewhere ;-)

After a few hours of debugging and finalizing the timings for the 4027 RAM, I'm happy to announce Firmware 3.1.1 is about to be released. All Testers shipping this week will already have the latest version flashed.

And the Project has now also been featured in the Elector-Magazine 🎉

Impression from todays Firmware tuning.

Firmware 3.1.1

This Update is now available on GitHub.
NOTE: This Update is only useful if you are running really old Firmware (< 3.x) or if you have a 4116 Adapter and want to test 4027 RAM.
For all other RAM Types there is no change since 3.x
