@fitzsteve

Your'e right m8.

Looks like this adapter don't includes termination. Try with one LVD/SE Active Terminator at the end of the cable.

I think this solves your problem.

Cheers

Other possibility (if you want, of course) is to buy one adapter like this (more chipper than Accard):

Also you find on EvilBay the 68 pins version.

I use two of this adapters to convert DVD-RW IDE drives to SCSI-II. Whooo!!! Works great!

Another possibility is using two active terminators on both ends of the SCSI cable and set the drive to provide termination power (and don't let it terminate itself, of course).

@rkauer

I know CSPPC have unterminated controller onboard.

BPPC is the same?

In this case, of course, you're right. fitzsteve need two terminators, ie:

TERM => SCSI Controller => HDD => CD-ROM => TERM

Thanks chaps. The problem was the IDE though lol. I moved the cf to the normal 2.5 ide port and she booted right up :-)

Having a problem with the hdd though Ive partitioned it with the phase 5 tools just ffs within the first 4gb to test it but when I try to copy anything to the drive I get a bunch of block errors :-(

Going to try another adapter and some other settings. I think the drive is the problem though its not new as stated on ebay it was dusty and looked well used. Grr

Steve.
