Anyone using this in an NTSC A1000? I have a relocator/kickstart switcher. Power supply is spot on. New capacitors for the whole machine. I do have the ground plane fixes for the four PALS on the daughterboard. The a1000 works fine with the tk68030 accelerator and the tf534. With the tf536 (and ks 3.1 of course) it boots fine. You can fuss around in workbench fine. If you run wolfenstein 3d/amiwolf ehb version theres random graphics glitches (off color pixels here and there) but game runs ok otherwise (smells like chip ram timing issue with card). Also most whdload games wont work. Shadow of the beast will work. None of the kings quest games work in whdload. Oddly enough if I install and run kings quest 4 or 5 the normal way from the hard disk it runs fine heheh. Whdload versions crash with a random fatal exception error. Its different every time. I have nocache, nommu, novbrmove, noautovec makes no diff. Most whdload stuff crashes.
Sysinfo runs fine, speedtests are solid, hd speed test is 2.7meg/sec dpaint IV is fine.
These cards will also flake out if you run diagrom on them. Always boots with weird ram erros but goes to the menu. Most menu items cause corruption.

Adoom in ehb mode runs but you get a black screen with sound (i do have the ehb denice in my a1000 and ehb works in dpaint and amiwolf) and a fps/frames per second counter in the corner. When you are shot the screen does flash red haha. (I think doom must use ecs agnus features for the graphics that a1000 cant do. Not fault of the tf536)

Keep in mind this is with two tf536 cards (i bought two weeks apart so its not the card) again unit works fine with a 50mhz tf534 and tk030 50mhz

This is my report on how It works on an a1000. Spotty largely non-working whdload, graphics glitches in amiwolf, diagrom is totally broke, normal applications seem to run fine 100%. Might depend on your a1000 revision too again I have two a1000 rev 6 ntcs units with rom switchers, new caps, ground plane fixes.

I have tried to reproduce some of this on my A1000. Although the A1000 only has 512K chip ram and that prevents most games from running (including ADOOM and Wolf3D EHB, so I don't know how you're running those... they won't run on my machine).

Also my A1000 doesn't support EHB (it has the early agnus/denise chips). Same for WHDLoad games that require more than 512K chip RAM.

Some WHDLoad issues can be fixed by editing S:WHDload.prefs and uncommenting the MMU and NoAutoVec lines, but King's Quest crashes for me too.

If you can reprogram the card, you should try to see if the "phase 5" firmware makes it run better. Also, you should report these issues on the exxos forum so that Stephen can have a look at them.

Ultimately, you are also welcome to send me back the card for a refund. :)

No way this is a great card definitely holding on to it :) do not want to return :). Only doing a report in A1000 compatibility to help others. Amiwolf ecs 1.21 seems to work fine with 512k chip. I replaced the denise in this a1000 with one that supports ehb (and saved the old one). Ok good info on adoom requiring more then 512 chip.
I have a usb blaster and a lattice programmer. I put headers on the jtag1 holes. Are there instructions on reprogramming these? Will the usb blaster or lattice programmer work? Thanks :) in the meantime I will use the two I bought on my a500’s.

You need a Xilinx programmer or a raspberry pi... The Xilinx programmer can be found on ebay from China for about $30 and I think it's the easiest route.

Any news on compatibility issues with A2000 being resolved? I would love to get in on this board as accelerators for A2k at this performance level are rare.

Thanks
Doug

My understanding is that Stephen is on vacation right now and hasn't really looked at it yet.

So I thought I would chime in about the A2000 working or not working with the TF-536. Mine works perfectly. Some photos attached.

I have also upgraded my A2000 to 1MB chipmem (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1x3_BoTwg4) by upgrading the 8371 to 8372A and the TF-536 works fine.

@jcm: So, that's some kind of right-angle adapter board for the CPU, and the TF-536 board is attached to that? If so, where did you get the adapter?

Hey there, brand new member here. I'd like to purchase one of these with the A500 relocation option but I'm not sure how to send payment. I don't see a paypal address anywhere on the original post. Are they still available? Please help a noob! Thanks!
