Hey there, brand new member here. I'd like to purchase one of these with the A500 relocation option but I'm not sure how to send payment. I don't see a paypal address anywhere on the original post. Are they still available? Please help a noob! Thanks!

Yes, you have to send me a PM and you’ll get all the instructions and details there.

I just setup my spare A1000 Rev 6 motherboard, internal kickstart relocator with diagnostics rom, and a spare Kickstart 2.0 rom, TF536 without issues today, I also tested with an external Flash Floppy drive. FYI I had to take 2 riser strips from an A500 relocator to raise the board so it would not hit the daughter board. Other than that it booted nicely. Seeing an A1000 boot to workbench with 64 MB ram was really cool.

A tentative fix for the A2000 issues is now available. Those of you who had issues with the A2000 should try it out, if you have the ability, please reflash your cards and let me know if this fixes it. If it does, the issue will be considered resolved.

Very cool. Can you try the whdload kings quest games and some other whdload games? Also do you get flakey results in the diagrom? Can you check out my previous post? I have two a1000 rev 6 with two tf536’s that behave exactly the same so it would be interesting to see anothers experience. Otherwise it works fine in the A1000. Boots and runs programs and even kings quest games as long as they are not whdload :p. For now I am using them in my two a500+. Looking at the most recent reply here Ill try flashing when my programmer comes in and pop one in one of my a2000’s

The new FW solves some of the A500 issues as well, plus it gives a small boost to the IDE speed.

Wow. It sounds like these are presently available. Thanks for the heads up, jcm.

I wonder if these would work with an B2000-CR rev 6? Any reports, there? It's an American NTSC unit, ECS. I'd get a CPU slot relocator if I went forward.

Right now I have an A2620 ('020 w/ 2MB 32-bit FAST) in the system.

Also, can the accelerator be disabled (if it's in the CPU slot, as a relocator)? Typing that and picturing the setup, I'm assuming not. Thanks.

Let me just clear a few points. With the new firmware, the A2000 compatibility issue should be fixed. However, I’d like to get a few more reports before officially declaring so. I don’t own an A2000 and can’t do any testing on my own. This is also why I am not building any A2000 cpu relocators or CPU slot adapters.

It doesn’t matter if your machine is PAL or NTSC. If it works on one, it will work on the other.

Even if you are using a CPU slot adapter, you still have to take out the 68000 out of its socket. The card is designed to be a CPU replacement in the A500, so you can’t have both plugged in.

The card also cannot be disabled, because you wouldn’t have a cpu to fall back on.

Hope that clears it.

I saw it appears the A2k issue is fixed so would like to be back on list please. PM Sent.

Thanks. I think I want to proceed and get on the list, so to speak. Is that done by following the first post instructions re: payment? What is the estimated length of list / time before receiving if I go ahead? Thanks. (I believe you are not selling A2000 relocators yet, so, wanting one, I would source elsewhere.)

There is no waiting list, I am ready to ship. I will send you a PM with instructions.

I just tested TF536 on my A2000 4.4 MB, ECS Denise, 8372A Agnus chip, with 68000 removed and in the co-pro slot with a riser from Amiga shop without any issues. As noted the 68000 had to be removed from the CPU slot. I did not modify the firmware. It seems to be running fine. I did remove the expansion cards I had also as there is 64MB ram already on the board and an IDE controller.

Yes, the original firmware did work on a few A2000s, mostly rev4s it seems.
