As a new product idea, would you consider making PCMCIA extensions so that a WLAN card or similar could be installed internally? I for sure would buy one, and I suspect I'm not alone!

There are two flexible PCMCIA ribbon cables I know of:
1. Vector electronics - 3690-38 - flexible, flat glass-fibre PCMCIA extension
with ejector slot / 3690-37 without ejector slot
There are photos available online, a few distributors claim to have it in
stock, like this one:

But when you contact them they won't reply when you request a quote, because they only sell from business to business - not to private custormers or tell you that this PCMCIA cable is not available - it is not produced anymore and obsolete for years - nowhere to find anymore - not even in used condition

2. Now, onto the good news. A few ebay sellers from China currently have this
piece in stock, length: 40 cm = approx. 15.7 inch

I ordered 3 x pairs of low space cable extenders for mouse and joystick. They all arrived in UK well packaged and work perfectly. The pair I use on my A4000 desktop now mean that I need less space on the left of the case as the mouse plugs on the tank mouse are really long which now plugs into the extension cable.
