I have cloanto 3.x Rom for my amiga 600 can I upload this to use via my Vampire v2 or only v 3.1?
This was covered multiple times in the thread, as well in the instructions. Since the Vampire is pre-built using 3.1, this is the only version he can accept.
Since the kickstart is slightly modified to make it work, it is currently not possible to use any other KS ROM with the Vampire at the moment. Perhaps at some point in the future.

any update about shipment progress? :)
See the first post. In seems a few are posted every few days, if you are a long way down the list, don't hold your breath. Which is fine for a small production card, it'll come when it comes ;)

I sad it before. And i say it again. Since i got a sata adapter that dont understand built in "3.1 scsi.device" i hope the "delay" of v2 card means updated core with sd-card hdd support. This is not a problem anyway. I can use regular cf adapter instead. If kick 3.1 can be patch after cold boot. I can patch sata-ssd with floppy disk.
My A600 uses custom kick 3.9 atm. That detect adapter with a newer scsi.device.

Updated ftp server with my grab kicked 3.1 kickstart before using my 3.x rom in my amiga 600

I am trying to get my Vampire V2 to work, but I am only getting a red and black blinking screen: 3 seconds red, 4 seconds black.
Its a recaped A600 rev 1.5, nothing else in it - just the vampire.

Have you polished plcc socket? (look the first post)

was getting same here until i done as post 1 and sanded the vampire socket, my vampire was springing itself off the socket no matter how much i pressed. now it sorta sticks on and with the 2 screws it don't move,, no more red screens.

Received my Vampire today, thanks a lot. I didnt prepare hard disk in my Amiga 600 yet, but I booted Workbench from floppy and everything seems ok. So many digits when I see my fast ram on top :)

I experienced exactly the same problem. The Vampire didnt keep its position on the 68k CPU. So I had to modify the socket - Vampire sits very stable on the 68k CPU now. But I didnt used the screws, its tight enough.
The 68k CPU on this mainboard has already been resoldered by me - that was befor I used the Furia V2 in it. Now I just took out the Furia and fitted the Vampire in. But it still doesnt work...

If you have USB blaster, please contact Majsta. With it he can check the plcc socket's connection.

.
We have several options so don't worry. Either we test what's wrong with usb blaster or I send you another Vampire and all good. If you soldered CPU I simply can't tell what is wrong until I test it

Thanks for all the replies. I will have a closer look at my socket - maybe I damaged it. Let me check this.

It seems that this coul be my fault.
One of the contacts are broken next to the drilled in gap. I will replace the socket and will report again.

Hi

Ok how do I order one of these, what do I need to do with KS3.1 I bought off Amigakit UK,

I've contacted Brian From Kipper2k but no reply.

I've PM'd Majsta but no reply.

Can someone help me with info how and where to buy one thanks.

Kipper2k can be slow in responding to emails, but he and his products are top notch. Just be patient and he'll get to you. :)

I found some spare time to play with Vampire2 and there is something strange. When I switch on the power supply, everything is perfect I can leave my Amiga on even 3 days and Vampire2 working like a charm but when I do at least one reset from keyboard or from c:reset I am getting red screen which appear for few seconds (sometimes green) and Amiga is not restarting anymore. Only switch off and switch on power supply helps. So basically there is everything ok but I cannot make any restart. If I want to make a restart I need to switch off and switch on power supply. Does anybody has same problem? Here I uploaded a video to see this problem:

Added: is that correct thread or is it only for preorders?
