@MoRetro Yeah probably lot of people will not be happy to see this project progress. I received few msgs from amiga resellers and like I told here we put them all on hold. I don't know with whom you are talking about but I can assure you that this is not true. I can start sending cards right now. I have soldered enough of them. What could be key to this story is lot of accelerators on amiga shops and they need to sell them fast because no one will buy them later when I start sending Vampire. So spreading false rumors here is not an option. I said that at the end of last year will start sending cards but like you know I had to change design number of times so we are little behind.

Thank you for your quick and clarifying answer.
I believe in you and the Vampire 2 project. But this guy and maybe others are spreading these negative rumours.
That's why I appreciate your swift and firm reply to counter these rumours.
I think he and others are negative to the Project because they won't sell their inferior hardware anymore once you start shipping.
Well there goes my believe in this dealer:mad:

I'll PM you.

I wish you best. Take your time, we believe in you and the Vampire 2 Project.

These rumors are not interesting. Here, people who have declared their interest know well what you have done. We understand that it's a hard job and we can be patient!
Majsta, don't let you disturbing by that. We must thank you for your great job.
Hell yeah! Just what I was thinking.

+1

what Majsta and the Apollo team is doing puts commercially made products to shame :)

I agree 200% with that.:D

Thanks for replying honestly to the roumourville maj but please if it takes a bit longer than weeks than i am not concerned as quality must always come first :)

Majsta, take your time, we have waited until now, it is no problem to wait for another month; quality goes first.

About other accelerators, I must say I'm really happy with my ACA630; I though it was the top performance for my 600, but well... I was wrong :) I'm really hoping I can run Linux on the Vampire someday.

Impresive pictures! I have a question, will the card fit along with an A603 + Indivision ECS?

Such a shame that once they are in use we will never see them! Anyone fancy making some vampire crystal a600 cases? ;)

Question might have been answered already but is the Vampire II compatible with A604 + Indivision ECS scandoubler..??

Seems so by the look of the pictures but some rumours on some forums pretend that it isn't compatible with Indi ECS...

It's not compatible, see here :

http://www.kipper2k.com/

"One thing i need to mention is that the Vampire uses the same register that the Indivision ECS uses so you cannot use the Indivision ECS with the Vampire. If you have already paid and you wish to cancel because of this then i will refund payment."

That is unfortunate, however if the HDMI output ends up working well with P96 drivers then the loss is insignificant since I probably won't miss the Indivision then (not really using it for gaming anyway so it is mainly for WB).

Not if they implement ECS emulation (SAGA?) into the Vampire V2 which might happen at some point. :)

this I am hoping for,,, all output via hdmi that would be great :D

wont they have to emulate chip ram so the ecs or aga native modes will work from vampire ?

With 128mb on board, there is no ram shortage! I plan on getting a USB controller on my 604n I am hoping that will be supported still.
