I'm trying to explain to my 16yr old ipod/xbox/3ds playing son that what I sent the small amount of money for is actually being designed right now for us and hand built by the creator.

he's kind of like "sooo" ... :Doh:

(Old person mode) Kids today just don't get the massive amount of hard work people like Majsta do.....

Looking really good, If this is what he can do for A500 / A600 I can't wait to see his A1200/A4000 versions :)

Tnx all for nice comments.
@Sardine on my regular job I work with kids/youngsters at that age so I know what you are saying :)

Anyway accelerators for other versions of Amiga are still in progress, but some of them will be ready very soon.

@majsta, I got a few questions regarding the Vamp600 v2.

1st off I expect the "softreset issue" from the v1 board to have been fixed but wanted to make sure by asking, is ut?
2nd will the final product work without any separat needed library now that you go with a bigger FPGA?
3rd will it still requier KS3.1 or will it be compatible with original KS2.05?
4th and final, will there be a way to switch off the turbo to get back to stock speeds? If not completly then perhaps with a special core now that it seem we can look forward to coreupdate through software. :D

For all the questions only one answer, this is FPGA you can do whatever you want and support anything.

Wasn't realy the answerr I was looking for... as I don't know jack about programming an FPGA my question was more toward the core intended for the Vamp600 v2. As i understand it previously to be able to fit the phoenix 68020 instructions some have been put in separat library that requiered KS3.1 in ROM to work. My question was if you will stear away from this now that this space optimization isn't (as) needed in order to support all 68020 instructions (and perhaps FPU etc in the future) on the FPGA itself and eliminate the need for a separate library and thus perhaps get the Vampire totaly KS independent (eg. KS1.3 compatible seing that an Vampire 500 is also in the making)? I'd also love to see an option to add a physical switch to the board to turn it off and let the CPU on the motherboard take over all in an effort to get a more compatible system for old demos.

@BoKi there is no need to disable anything to get more compatibility. Also, this FPGA is big enough to support anything we want or let's say everything ever wanted by amiga users including what you have said. My answer is maybe unclear now but once everything is done there will be many surprises :)

No need to be hostile, and about the core you are probably right but since there's special core targeted for the Vamp600 I assume Majsta have some insight into it and could perhaps shine some light on my questions... and no core updates can create a header on the board for a possible disable function. Since I don't know anything about the board or know how to program the FPGA I just hope to get some information seeing that it's still some time before I can get my hands on one.

@majsta
Thanx for the answer.

Let me put it this way, you need to leave behind you knowledge how other accelerators works :) No, there is no core who can create header on the board, but it can create OSD for example :) Just patience, pls :) What I have stated here on first page is just starting point, we will see where work on this project can bring us.

how should payment be sent? also. did u get me email I sent from your site majsta?

Cheers

@trydowave: have a look at the first page of the thread for more information on payments.

Specific part:
So if you are interested, write here, then send money to imajstorovic at yahoo.com and I will put you on the list. Sorry for asking money in the front but like I said this is the only way for me to produce this and to know exactly how much to produce. Please when you send a payment PM me with your paypal mail address.
