Majsta, what do you mean by PPC performance ?
Im guessing he means that the performance of the 68k apollo core is so good that its rivalling ppc solutions like BlizzardPPC using the PPC 603/e / 604

^^^ exactly what I thought,

atm i think he's getting 50 mips but 200 mips is possible.. I cant wait for the A1200 version :D

majsta I noticed a mention of you getting an A4000 for future development, any chance you'll be working on an A3000/4000 version in the near future? :)

I think majsta should stick with A600 only as some sort of punishment to those dic... ehm people who voted A600 as the worst Amiga ever in numerous polls

mostly entitled A1200/3000/4000 users if you check carefully ;)

@Ricardo Zaca, check thread/topic title and read first post. :-)

But sure enough, theres a lot of interest in a A1200 version, but that will be a physically different card and there's no official announcement yet.

Even Dave Haynie didn't see the point of the A600. (It came when the A500+ was still selling just fine and you didn't gain a whole lot, but you lost the numeric keyboard, making it incompatible with several games and price was nowhere as low as what Commodore first targeted.)
The fact that that the Vampire is coming for the A600 is a fortunate side effect I think ;-) The A600 wasn't exactly built with a whole lot of expansions in mind. (Surface mounted CPU and crippled expansion port.)

Yes let's continue a cycle of entitlement & marginalization lol Anyway it was just an innocent question, as one of majsta's blog posts mention the A4000, all amiga models deserve & would be lucky to receive the vampire board :)

I vote Amiga 600 as the worst Amiga ever! I will vote for that and again and again an again and again if I have too. Just because a Vampire 600 will be released doesn't negate that Amiga 600 is the worst Amiga ever developed in human history and there is nothing you or Majsta can do to defer me from my believe that Amiga 600 is the worst Amiga ever made.

Back in Germany, I only ever saw one person with an A600 and he loved it. He used it for light gaming and also to make custom graphics and animations with Deluxe Paint. I opted for the A1200 due to the extended keyboard.
