Declare interest for soldered combination 8mb+ide(80€) for A1000 NTSC. Thank you

Has anyone managed to get the RAM on one if these to auto configure on a CDTV, is it just a case of linking config_in from the board to the module? The web page isn't very clear on this.

Addmem works, but a lot of chip mem is consumed, presumably because the system doesn't know about the fast mem until too late.

I've seen there are some 68k ram modules which say they auto configure so I'm guessing it's technically possible?

Thanks everyone.

Hi. If there are 6 pins at the end, the edge is gnd, if there are 5 pins, third wire can be clipped. int2 and ovr to be connected
Info page www.mkl211015.altervista.org/ide/ide68k.html
scroll down to version table for pictures of int2 and ovr connections.

I have been told I need to ask for one that works with EzdineG's Kickstart adapter board "to make sure he programs the cpld with a firmware that's 100% compatible with the 1000 /OVR."

Thanks.

A1000/A2000 and possibly other Amigas, recent IDE board cpld problem

A1000/A2000 and possibly other Amigas, recent IDE board cpld problem

Some newer IDE v4xx boards have cpld code 4196,4197 or 4198.
These don't drive /OVR signal in space daxxxx, only at dexxxx in order to reduce switching noise on /ovr wire. This seemed to work on A500 mainboard (no chipram expansion+clock present)
A2000 (B2000 has Gary) and A1000 (probably) have pal decode "clock" to address space d80000..dbffff (A500 A200 Technical reference manual p. 229-230 pal listing)

Amiga 2000 "Clock warning" on page 223. (RTC, dc0000)

Next version CPLD code will drive /OVR for all areas where ide or cfidecp 68k is appearing.

New fixed jedec files for xc9572xl / xc95144xl tq100. to be added. v4201 files seemed to be non-working (for xc95144xl on v421 board. (also v419)).
