I've updated the first thread with the latest reservation and payment information.

The latest revision of the PCB files were accepted by the manufacturer and the will start production within a week! I've sent payment information to everyone so please take care of that as soon as possible. I need to get the money for all the kits before I can order the components.

I've already ordered parts for one kit to assemble and test one of the PCBs when they arrive. I'll also write detailed directions for assembly while I'm building that kit. It's a fairly straight forward build, but I like having step by step directions. :)

I will still accept orders for kits up until the point when I order the rest of the components. After I place that order, I can only provide PCBs for newly interested buyers.

Thanks everyone!

Heather

Hi Heather,
if it's not too late, put me down for a kit too and tell me where I can send the money :)

Bryce.

Still interested in one kit (with programming if possible), although only if you are shipping from a private address. Reason is, if it is shipped from or to a commercial address, our postal service will add a hefty fee for the import (>100%).

Monies for the 2 kits has been sent, as I thought Paypals gift message joined up the address as one line of words ;)

Payment made - thanks, Heather!

Everyone,

First of all, thanks to everyone for paying so fast. I've received payments from about 2/3 of all the people who were interested in the project.

The number of kits has reached the number of EEPROMs that I ordered, which means that I have to place another order for EEPROMs for anyone who has not already reserved a kit.

If you have already reserved a kit then you don't need to worry about anything. You will still pay $20 per kit you pre-ordered. For new people interested in kits or those changing from PCBs to kits, the cost will be $21 per kit. The extra $1 will cover the higher cost of the chip plus shipping.

I actually ordered ten more chips than I needed at the time I placed the order. Looks like I should have added more!

PCB prices have not changed.

Thanks everyone,

Updated the paid user list in the first post.

I received the EEPROMs today. I hope to see the PCBs by the end of this week or early next week. I'll update the thread as I have more information.

Thanks!

Heather

Another quick update for everyone. The factory has marked my order as 'Complete and Ready to Ship'. Shipping is through DHL so it should not take too long. Hopefully I'll get confirmation soon that they shipped.

Hey everyone! There's been no status change on the shipment of the PCB's. I'm really quite anxious so I hope they ship them soon!

In the meantime, I made a label for the icomp.de style cartridge shells. I will also include a small, single line version of the green label below for those of you who want to use a Commodore style shell. It will look almost the same as the original FC3 label.

Be sure to click on the links to see what they actually look like. The thumbnail versions don't look very good. The black line around the edge of the label should be removed when you cut the label to size.

I'll be including labels for both PCB and Kit buyers. I'll let you pick the style when I contact you about shipping. The labels will be made of weather resistant shipping label material, which should be rugged enough for cartridge use.

Here's the original SVG file in case you want to edit it to create your own. You can also send me your changed label and I'll print it for you and send it with your hardware. I used Inkscape to create the label.

Original editable file created with Inkscape (Backgrounds are in different layers) plus all separate PNG images:

I warned you they wouldn't be very good if I made them. :D

Thanks everyone!
