you will find that SOME CF cards will accept UDMA mode - you can set this with the IO-DATA SCSI-IDE bridge you have there - you will notice a drastic improvment!
The config of your card should be as follows -
I would suggest
shorting pin 1 (for SCSI ID 1) (habbit of me reserving 0 and 7 for hosts)
shorting pin 5 (for SCSI 2 mode)
shorting pin 7 (for UDMA mode) - some CF cards cannot use this
a the moment the card is configured as
SCSI ID = 0
Unset SCSI-1/-2 mode (will default to SCSI-1)
PIO mode Transfers (not DMA) (very slow)
other than that its looking delicious! =D
