Just for your information, I have an Amiga 2000 with a TF534 and I have :

A2091 SCSI card with 2MB fastmem on board, and CDROM - Works perfect
BSC Multiface III card (additional parallel and serial ports) - Works perfect
Amber card flicker fixer - Works perfect

Tried to PM you Dj, your box is full ;)

I am in Canada, I have an A500 - pretty much stock. Also have an A2000 most likely (from a friend)

I would like to have a machine that can WHDload, also I am a hardware guy - I like mods and repairs etc.. so I am THINKING the A2000 would be better..

I have been an Atari guy all my life, and am dipping into the Amiga world.

I have no HDD for Amiga, no additions or mods of any kinds.. and those would be a real possibility.

I see you have sold/made many different boards etc.. which would you suggest I look into? TF and Matze seem good. also there is the Classic 520 (but thats external)

Suggestions?

James

Yeah,
mail box is pretty small here, unfortunately
have cleaned up a bit

well,
if You are looking just for WHDLoad + FastRAM - i would recommend You this:
https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?102188-8MB-IDE-autoboot-card-CDTV-RAM-IDE
this is 8MB FastRAM & IDE card, that allows You to use any Kickstart (1.2 till 3.1.4) has proper disable function, offers IDE and adds 8MB of FastRAM

If You have plans to expand Your system with graphic card:
https://www.amibay.com/showthread.p...a-Graphic-Card-designed-by-Matthias-Heinrichs
- You'll need at least 020 accelerator. This would be the low-end card that works perfect in pair with RTG:
https://www.amibay.com/showthread.php?100883-68EC020-TK-new-A500-A1000-A2000-accelerator-by-Matze

PS
all cards i've mentioned here have passed test phase and are working reliably

Hi, I know about the TF534, what I don't know is about the TF536.
I am very happy that your 2091 work perfect, my gvp series II is great, but not perfect. I can use all the 8mb, but because the DMA issue with the TF534, I lost 1,1MB/s of transfer rate.
I don't remember if the A2091 is DMA or not, but if your works great and do more that 1,2MB/s, I will buy one soon.

TF536 should be available very soon
Hi Viktor,
There maybe a slight delay on getting the 536 boards manufactured as JLC is still not processing 4 layer boards due to Corona
("Production of 4&6 layer and ENIG PCBs will temporarily be postponed until further notice") quote straight from there website.
I do not know if Stephen uses other board houses but they are probably all in restricted production mode ATM.

I managed to get a small batch of 2 layer boards manufactured last week but no joy on 4 layer.
I am also keen to buy a few of these PCBs from Stephen myself, but with Corona still running wild in China we may have to wait until mid-year.

cheers,
Dan
