Thanks. I haven't said anything in that last post that isn't true, so I don't expect hings to go all "Come at me, bro". It's annoying and frustrating, but there aren't many that have been on the Admin team since 2007 (when the site was created) that could be tagged as "Doesn't play well with others". There's no value in finger pointing, members can make their own minds up. Suffice to say that they are a minority..

I just checked out the site for the first time in about 6 years. Now I know why I gave up the hobby. Prices seems to have increased 500% since I sold my amiga. I could never afford these prices anymore

I was laughed at when i said last year nothing would be done until July 2022 after a timeline was given to the staff which i KNEW wasn't even close or would ever happen

i'm sad to say I was correct !! it might even be 2023 at this rate.. I won't be holding my breath.

what's more worrying is that wee are getting on for almost a year WITHOUT the ability for new member registration the nail in the coffin for Amibay.

The full costs for moving & purchase of new forum software has already been offered inclusive of help setting up the site.

this very generous offer was not fully explored due to Amibay having already purchased vb5 and Harrison being experienced in vbulliten

both myself and Harrison thought this offer needed exploring.

I have now taken up the offer from both members offering to purchase the Xenforo license and am currently working out final details.

I want to get a test install of Xenforo up and running soon, so we have time to try it out and familiarise ourselves with it and what is possible.

We're hoping that we're only days away from switching to XenForo and new registrations will be available once the security groups have been set up.

I guess, but to simply complain while not doing anything is not considered affirmative action to remedy a situation, especially if the person/s you're complaining to does nothing.

Some of the members of staff that stepped up to make the switch to XenForo happen just got on with it. :arms

No, I've not gone anywhere. Just as Watson said I've had a lot going on. So still here and willing to help. But appear for the moment to be locked out of the site and all direct communication ignored. Hope someone can communicate with me at some point if just to explain the situation.
