Well, were it not for amazon delivering the wrong dvd drive I would be close to finished with this now, but that will have to wait for next weekend.....

Ok so I finally got my AA3000+ after postal services resumed and hese could actually ship it to Canada (thank you hese!). After some initial troubles with the Super DMAC dying (thank you again hese for the support)...I finally got the AA3000+ running in my A3000 case (with a new Super DMAC chip)...

We left my last post with me getting my new purchase home and showing pictures of it. Now, obviously the first thing I did was test it some more as soon as I walked through the door. Unfortunately the lack of software and disks available to me at the time...

Not sure if this is the done thing, or the norm or anything like that - but, I wanted to keep a record of my journey back into the retro Amiga scene by creating a blog of sorts on what I'm up to with my newly acquired Amiga 1200.

Well as luck would have it, the Cyberstorm PPC finally cleared Canada Customs 2 days ago! So I set about the task of carefully putting it into the new Amiga 4000 with the Alice board from hese!
Installation of the GREX 4000 is always a bit tricky. It is best to install the GREX already...
Mostly cleanup today and I installed a Mediator 4000Di so the system could take advantage of my 32" monitor/TV. This will be temporary as I await my Cyberstorm PPC arrival - it's been stuck at Canada Customs for 8 days now!! Ugh!. Once I (hopefully) get the CS PPC, I will mate it to the GREX...
Thanks to hese I have started to build my Amiga 4000 Alice+ system! Here are some photos!
