When shorting the config in / config out pins on a v40 RAM68k, is the board disabled or is autoconfig of the board disabled?

I would like to manually add RAM to the system using a program like “addmem.” Is it possible or do I have to have a v59 board instead?

Thanks.

Is there a post / thread on how / what is needed to update the cpld files ? I did some searching here.

EDIT - ignore found the information.

This post for describing 'riser' boards.
Version 2 of 68k footprint board a bit wider

Possible to make ide and ram card and the cpu, external by adapter.

Pads for /int2 , /ovr, /int6

74F86 on socket for the xor gates that make cpu 7MHz equivalent clock from /C1, /C3. Or solder blob to JP6 near card edge to connect CPU 7MHz to card edge contact, and put to wire dil-14 socket.

The dil64 socket area is close to case edge. Using long pin cardedge connector would allow use of ZIF test socket.

Riser card blank pcb that offsets 68000 back and sideway direction of case away from case edge.

Some newer IDE v4xx boards have cpld code 4196,4197 or 4198.
These don't drive /OVR signal in space daxxxx, only at dexxxx in order to reduce switching noise on /ovr wire. This seemed to work on A500 mainboard (no chipram expansion+clock present)
A2000 (B2000 has Gary) and A1000 (probably) have pal decode "clock" to address space d80000..dbffff (A500 A200 Technical reference manual p. 229-230 pal listing)

Amiga 2000 "Clock warning" on page 223. (RTC, dc0000)

Next version CPLD code will drive /OVR for all areas where ide or cfide 68k is appearing.

New fixed jedec files for xc9572xl / xc95144xl tq100. to be added. v4201 files seemed to be non-working (for xc95144xl on v421 board. (also v419)).

Any updates on the new code? I have an IDE68K with cpld code 4197 that won't work on an Amiga 1000; was hoping the new code would fix.

Thanks.

Combination boards have v59 ram. (V61 with config in and out didn't seem to work right away)

All shipped. Please send PM to 'renew' interest. I will send PMs too later, there is one complete ideram unit at the moment.

Thank you. This code works, but the IDE LED connector is permanently "on." I can live with this if this is not code fixable.

[Edit]
Fixed with the latest cpld code. Thanks!

White led will be always at least dimly on with 3.3volt cpld and bus hold. Can fix in code, or few kilo ohm resistor in parallel with led or pull up at led - pin.
